Frequently asked questions

WHAT IS MICROBLADING/FEATHER TOUCH BROW TATTOOING?2021-08-19T13:13:46+10:00

Feather-touch brow tattoo is a popular semi-permanent make-up brow technique using a hand tool with a cluster of fine probes. They are used to implant pigment into the skin to create life-like hair strokes and natural-looking eyebrows. We draw each hair stroke following your natural hair growth and direction.

WHAT ARE NANO BROWS?2021-08-19T13:13:34+10:00

Nano Brows, unlike micro-blading, are hair strokes completed by a needled machine, similar to a conventional tattoo. Nano Brows can last longer and are less invasive on the skin in comparison to Microblading.

IS IT LIKE A BODY TATTOO?2021-08-19T13:13:21+10:00

It is not the same as body tattooing. The main difference between a traditional body tattoo and a cosmetic tattoo is the type of equipment used and the depth of the pigment implanted. Also, unlike body tattooing, you do not bleed during the procedure.

HOW DO YOU SELECT THE BEST COLOUR & SHAPE?2021-08-19T13:13:08+10:00

Prior to treatment, we spend roughly 20 minutes on the design of your tailored brows to give you the most natural and appropriate shape and colour to suit your specific facial features, natural brow line, skin tone, and hair colour. Then, together we discuss final shaping and colour selection for approval.

IS THE TREATMENT PAINFUL?2021-08-19T13:12:54+10:00

On a scale of 1-10, most clients report the discomfort of a 3.

HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT TAKE?2021-08-19T13:12:40+10:00

Initial appointment: 3hrs, including the consultation and numbing time (It might take longer in some cases).

Perfecting touch up within 4-6 weeks: 1-2hrs

HOW LONG WILL THE TREATMENT LAST?2021-08-19T13:12:21+10:00

This varies from person to person, depends on your skin type, diet, sun exposure, genetics and environmental factors, which can all contribute to how long your skin will retain the pigments.

As a guide, it could be anything between one to several years before a new treatment is required, although refresher colour boosts are recommended for maintenance during this time.

IS THERE A CANCELLATION POLICY?2021-08-19T13:12:06+10:00

All new tattoo appointments will require a $100 deposit that will come off the total price on the day. Deposits will not be refunded for cancellations with less than 72 hours notice.

For more information regarding cancellations and rescheduling, please refer to our

TERMS & CONDITIONS.

HOW DOES THIS AFFECT MY BOTOX TREATMENTS?2021-08-19T13:11:52+10:00

We recommend that you book your Botox appointment at least 4-6 weeks before your initial brow tattooing appointment. This aids with symmetry and skin firmness.

WHAT CAN I DO TO PREPARE FOR MY TREATMENT?2021-08-19T13:11:36+10:00
  • Leave waxing/tinting 72 hours leading up to your appointment.
  • Discontinue active skincare 1-2 weeks before treatment (e.g. Vitamin A, chemical peels, prescribed skincare etc.)
  • Inform us before your treatment of any medical conditions or severe allergies that may interfere with treatment.
  • Do not take aspirin, niacin, vitamin E or Ibuprofen 48-72 hours prior to the procedure (do not cease regular medications without consulting your GP).
  • No alcohol 24 hours before your procedure.
  • You are required to supply your numbing cream; legally, this can not be supplied to you.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER MY TREATMENT?2021-08-19T13:11:19+10:00

Immediately after treatment, the colour will appear darker than your chosen shade.

After 7-10 days, natural exfoliation takes place. The top layer of the skin peels off, leaving a softer, lighter colour below.

As the treated area is settling down, itching may occur, which means the skin is healing.

Apply the recommended cream to the treated area as recommended.

Swelling and redness is minimal and usually subsides within 24 hours.

The skin takes 4-8 weeks to heal at a cellular level and for the true pigment colour to settle.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?2021-08-19T13:11:03+10:00

Two treatments are usually needed, at least 6-8 weeks apart. Individual results do vary.

IS THERE A RISK OF INFECTION?2021-08-19T13:10:48+10:00

There is a minimal risk of infection, providing that you maintain strict hygiene standards.

WILL I BE ALLERGIC TO THE TREATMENT?2021-08-19T13:10:09+10:00

Allergic reactions are extremely rare; however, please inform us if you have any allergies, and a patch test can be performed upon request.

CAN I GET THEM WET OR WORK OUT?2021-08-19T13:09:46+10:00

Not for at least 48 hours. Keep them dry and sweat-free to ensure maximum retention.

Recovery time varies slightly. However, it typically takes 7-10 days for the dots to fall off and the new skin to come through.

WHAT IS A BROW LAMINATION2021-08-19T13:06:17+10:00

Brow lamination is a 3 step process similar to lash lift or perming and straightening solutions for your hair. Rather than using perming and setting solutions to create a lifted curl, the solution is applied to set your brow hairs upwards into a full, fluffy shape giving the illusion of fuller, thicker lifted brows. We do not apply any extra hair. It’s the eyebrow repositioning and shape correction that gives a fuller appearance.

HOW LONG DOES APPT TAKE?2021-08-19T13:06:12+10:00

The appointment takes a minimum of one hour, and all include wax, tweezing and tint.

ARE THEY STUCK?2021-08-19T13:06:04+10:00

No, your brows can be brushed back down, but brushing them down too often can reduce the lift of the brow lamination.

HOW TO PREP FOR A BROW LAMINATION2021-08-19T13:06:00+10:00

Before your brow lamination appointment, we recommend the following:

  • Avoid using exfoliants, retinoids, or AHAs on your face for one to two weeks before your brow lamination
  • Please come to your appointment without any makeup on

IMPORTANT NOTE: Lamination is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women or those with sensitive skin. There is the possibility of the product being absorbed into the skin, resulting in irritation.

HOW LONG DOES A BROW LAMINATION LAST?2021-08-19T13:05:55+10:00

A brow lamination will last about 6 – 8weeks. Return appointments are recommended after six weeks. For best results, be sure to follow the aftercare instructions given to you at your appointment.
